The secret to achieving all of your goals all of the time

June 22nd, 2007 · No Comments

There is only one way to make achieving your goals 100% certain.

It is really very simple.   It doesn’t involve clever psychology or superhuman determination.  It doesn’t depend on timing, or strength.  It doesn’t even matter if you really want to achieve the goal, all that badly.

The secret is this.  If you want to be 100% sure of achieving all of your goals all of the time, all you have to do is set your goals too low.

I’ll repeat that for you.  If you want to be guaranteed of achieving your goals , then all you have to do is set your goals at a comfortably low level.

How simple is that and how convenient.  In fact most people run their lives this way and as a result they are achieving their goals all of the time.

That is fine for them but how about for the rest of us who stubbornly insist on reaching out beyond what is easy.  What does it mean if we prefer to test the edges of possibility rather than living inside the circle of certainty.

It means that for us there is no 100% guarantee.  We are not assured of achieving all of our goals all of the time.  There is always the possibility that we won’t quite make it.

But isn’t that the point?
